About LA CRNA PAC
LA CRNA PAC is one of the nurse anesthetist's links to the legislative process. Contributions to the PAC are used to promote the opinions and needs of Louisiana's CRNAs to the members of the state legislature. Most recently the PAC has been involved in fighting to preserve quality healtcare in Louisiana by opposing the creation of an Anesthesiology Assistant program. This affects each and every CRNA in the state. To continue these efforts and function properly, the PAC needs a steady flow of funds. Please send PAC contributions to:

Thanks to CRNAs, your CRNA-PAC is the strongest PAC in nursing and allied health professions in the 2001-02 election cycle, according to Federal Election Commission filings. As of Oct. 16, a couple of weeks before Election Day, CRNA-PAC had raised $1.16 million, almost four times as much as the next highest nursing PAC’s total (ANA-PAC at $307,000). ASA-PAC reported raising $1.67 million.
The LA CRNA PAC has also been very effective when combined with our broad based efforts to stop AA legislative actions in the past Louisiana legislative session.
Everyone is reminded that each PAC, the AANA CRNA PAC and the LA CRNA PAC, are separate funds. They both need support from CRNAs. They serve different purposes. The AANA CRNA PAC is directed at FEDERAL issues effecting CRNA practice, and the LA CRNA PAC is directed at STATE issues that effect CRNA practice. Remember to be generous to both.
